How to Buy & Receive TBH Items from the Steam Market

Buying gear in TBH: Task Bar Hero happens on the Steam Community Market, but the item doesn't appear in your inventory automatically — it arrives through the in-game mail. Here is the exact process, plus fixes for the most common problem ("my item isn't showing up").

Step by step

1. Unlock the market. Your in-game Cube must reach Level 10 before you can use the Steam Market at all — this is the game's anti-bot measure.
2. Check the fair price first. Look the item up on our live price tracker — you'll see the current lowest listing, the historic range and whether the price is spiking.
3. Buy the item on the Steam Community Market (browser, app or Steam overlay).
4. Launch TBH and open the Mail icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
5. Wait ~10 seconds for the system to sync with Steam, then click the Refresh button in the bottom-right of the mail window. Your item appears — claim it.

Item not showing up?

• Give it a few minutes — Steam's purchase confirmation can lag, then hit Refresh again.
• Restart the game and reopen the mail.
• Confirm the purchase actually completed in Steam (Account details → Store transactions).
• Remember gear below Legendary rarity can't be traded at all — see the market rules.
